In the markets here very local vegetables and fruit are labelled 'pays' or sometimes the name of the village, like the green onions from Lezignan. <BR/><BR/>In Europe luckily there are so many areas where rice grows - risotto rice from the Po valley in Italy, paella rice from Valencia in Spain, and we eat a lot of rice from the Camargue, which is well within 100 kms.
