CHAMPAGNE AND BOYSENBERRIES

At last a night of relaxation ! The place was all tidy and planted, all the other seedsavers had gone and Roger and I sat down to a bottle of Deb's elderflower champagne....so good, so fragrant and sort of savoury, perfect...

That was Saturday night. Tonight, Monday, we had dinner then went and picked boysenberries from our garden for dessert. Gorgeously ripe and huge and tasty...

What a life. It really doesn't get much better than the satisfaction of taking into your body the food and drinks you and your friends have worked hard to deliver to your table.

I'm with ya'. I love those moments when all is still and the food is fresh and the light is just right. It simply does not get any better.
