‘Plants create Soil’
Understanding soil ,humus compost ,organic matter and mulch.
Here is my suggestion for Sept or October gathering, I can conduct this at Nirvana Organic Farm . We have many soil types from gravel to peat we can study. It would be a hands on exploration of soil, how to develop the right soil for you garden and orchard.
I thought a Wednesday afternoon would be good but open to suggestions
If you are interested please put a comment on this post and I will take it from there.
Know your Soil, know what it is ,how it works and how to improve it so you get quality food.

Wow - what a fanastic idea. Makes me wish I lived in SA! I'm trying to rehabilitate the soil in the front and back of our townhouse, and it's good fun, but a big learning process!
Sounds good to me , Thanks Deb.
I'd love to come Deb. Wednesday afternoons are good for me provided my next baby hasn't arrived by the date you choose! It's due Oct 26th. I won't be doing any digging but I'm sure I can still learn a lot by watching.
Hello,
It's Ting here.
It sounds good to me too, thank you Deb.
By the way, did anybody see a weaved basket that I put mandarins in on Wed?
I'm going to the Minipermaseast tomorrow. I might see some of you there:)
I shall have a look for your basket Ming and I have your plastic blue container.
It was great you could join us and I loved what you cooked.
What are you going to today, I have not heard of this?
Thank you Maggie!
I went to "Mini-Permafest" this weekend on Pedro's farm near Myponga. We planted hundreds of indigenous trees, some fruit trees, we made seed balls and we had a lot of fun.
I'm really gald to join you, since I have read this blog for a long time. (I was away) And I admire what you are doing. I will write a bit more about myself later.
Sounds a great day Ting.
