Ah well .. we have the well, and we live in the hills which makes it cooler but I believe the most important thing I did was spray with wettable sulphur every fortnight from planting. They are russet mite free! Touch wood.
Yes they are ox hearts. Its a wonderful tomato. Fleshy without being mealy and make wonderful sauce so a couple of these makes a substitute for a can of tomatoes.
