Yeah! Great tour through the garden! I was able to revisit the veggies and herbs. Thanks. Thanks also for organising this event. We had a very enjoyable afternoon.

Many thanks for taking these great photos, Bob. I really enjoyed seeing my own garden and the visitors through your lens; didn't seem to have much time Sunday to step back from it all myself.
And nice to see Claudia with all her dried veggies and lacto-fermented vegeatbles featured...

Funny... I didn't notice that Andrew was standing up past his knees in water, Bob!

How did you get this effect??

Loved visiting the garden with you via the photos! Are those big barrels in the back for rain or for compost?

Hi Pattie
Those are rainwater tanks filled from the house roof during winter. Each tank holds about 15000 litres (3300 gallons) and I'm using about a tankful per week on average during summer.
Very little water is wasted, as I largely water by hand using a watering can filled at the tank, and placed on the plants that need it. I also use some high-flow drip lines, also running on the low tank pressures via a garden hose, so flow is adequate if one is patient and water's regularly. It's impossible with this system to water the whole garden in one day.
Glad you enjoyed the tour...
Cheers
Andrew
