TO COIN A PHRASE

It is interesting that the leek appears on some English coins. I read this on a lovely blog of an English gardener:

We should get over having kangaroos and emus etc on our coins and notes and get regenerated with warrigal greens, wattle seeds, Tasmanian mountain pepper leaves etc on our currency. Imagine our coat of arms bedecked with these - now that would be a fine thing.

Here is a website closer to home that has a list of bush foods and some recipes, all done so tastefully. I love their slogan: 'Advanced Australian Fare. '
