OFFICIAL OPENING OF OZASIA FESTIVAL

A CELEBRATION OF TOGETHERNESS DATING BACK OVER 3,000 YEARS

On the 15th day of the eighth lunar month of the Chinese calendar when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, family and friends gather to admire the moon and think of absent loved ones.

Enjoy community dance and music performances and workshops. As the moon rises, school children from across South Australia will parade their beautiful hand-made traditional and contemporary lanterns in the park.

The evening will conclude with a diverse range of live performances by OzAsia Festival artists.

Choose from a delicious selection of Asian cuisine on offer. Moon cakes and lanterns will also be available for purchase.

TV personality Jemma Rivera will MC the Moon Lantern Festival.

“The drawcard was a huge parade of kids bearing thousands of lantern creations along the Torrens edge as dusk settled.” –Adelaide Advertiser
